Mothers Day Flowers
Done by my 4-6 year olds
The idea came to me as I was getting ready for bed one night. “Flowers, rice, bottles, and glue. I’ve got it all.” I’m so happy with the way they all turned out, and the mothers loved them so much! As we were making them the kids asked questions ‘what about water and dirt?’ not realizing the flowers are fake. My response was, 'is your mommy dirty?' They all said, 'NO!' Why rice? because mommy cooks nice. Flowers are sweet and pretty just like mommy. Then they all understood.

| Putting on the last drops of glue. |
Empty old plastic glue bottles.
(I love to Recycle! and I'm going to use the lids for something?) |
Small fake flowers (Someone gave me for free.)
The children picked out about 15 each. |
Rainbow rice
The children picked the color then we used a funnel to put the rice inside the bottle. |
